Common Questions

Where is my data stored?

PackMate is local-first. Packing lists, preferences, wallet metadata, and wallet Fdocuments are stored on your device.

Does PackMate require an account?

No. PackMate does not require an account.

Does PackMate upload my wallet documents?

No. Wallet documents are stored locally in PackMate’s private app storage.

Why is city weather unavailable?

PackMate uses Open-Meteo for optional city weather near departure. If the weather request fails, PackMate falls back to country-level seasonal guidance.

Why am I not receiving departure reminders?

Departure reminders are optional. Check that:

• Departure Reminders are enabled in PackMate Settings
• Notifications are allowed for PackMate in iOS Settings
• the trip has a travel date
• the trip still has unpacked items

How do I delete my data?

You can delete packing lists and wallet documents in the app. You can delete all local app data by uninstalling PackMate.
