PackMate Privacy Policy

PackMate is designed as a local-first travel packing app. We do not require an account, do not show ads, and do not track you across apps or websites.

Information Stored On Your Device

PackMate stores app data on your device, including:

• packing lists and packing items
• trip details such as destination, travel date, duration, and weather city
• app preferences such as home country, packing style, temperature unit, gender preference, Wallet Lock setting, and notification setting
• wallet document metadata such as title, document type, expiry date, and trip attachment
• wallet document files that you choose to import, scan, or convert from photos

Wallet document files are stored in the app’s private storage using iOS file protection.

Optional Weather Data

PackMate can show city-specific weather near departure. If you add a weather city and the trip is close to departure, PackMate may use Apple Weather or Open-Meteo to request weather data for that city and country.

Apple Weather and Open-Meteo are used only for weather lookup. PackMate does not send your packing lists, wallet documents, or personal preferences to Apple Weather or Open-Meteo.

If city weather cannot be loaded, PackMate falls back to bundled country-level seasonal guidance.

Optional Notifications

PackMate can send optional departure reminders, such as a one-day-before reminder when a trip still has unpacked items.

Notifications are disabled unless you choose to enable them. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Camera, Photos, And Wallet Documents

PackMate asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a travel document.

PackMate asks for photo access only when you choose photos to convert into wallet PDFs.

Documents you import, scan, or convert are stored locally in PackMate’s private app storage. PackMate does not upload wallet documents to a server.

Wallet Lock

If you enable Wallet Lock, PackMate can use Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or your device passcode to unlock wallet document previews.

PackMate uses device authentication only for unlocking wallet access. Biometric information is handled by iOS and is not available to PackMate.

Data Sharing

PackMate does not sell your data.

PackMate does not use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking SDKs.

PackMate does not require an account and does not operate a user account database.

Data Deletion

You can delete packing lists and wallet documents inside the app.

You can also delete all locally stored app data by uninstalling PackMate from your device.

Children

PackMate is a general travel utility and is not directed at children.

Changes To This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when PackMate changes. The latest version will be available at this page.
